The Chairman Emeritus

Smart work is better than hardwork is the best maxim that suits the life of Thiru. P. Nachimuthu Gounder who opted for the best solution for people’s problem then- transportation. Thiru. P. Nachimuthu Gounder implemented an ultimate idea to use bullock carts to help people. The limitations of bullock cart transportation prompted him to modernize and Anamalais Transport came into existence which is now known as ABT limited exploring every corner of the state. The modernization of the transport fueled a thought on the importance of technical education. A vision was born. The dream was made into reality by Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam - Chairman Emeritus, a name that is synonymous with Pollachi. Motivated by his father's vision Nachimuthu Industrial Association Trust was established in the year 1956. The dream was cherished with the incorporation of Nachimuthu Polytechnic College in 1957 through which 120 rural students were made competent enough to work with modern technology.

The society's solicitation made him the Chairman of NIA to expand education right from schooling to engineering. Within a short span of 50 years the NIA has ventured into many avenues and has established its roots in industrialization, education, finance, transportation, synthetic gems, textiles, agriculture and automobiles. Nachimuthu Industrial Association not only offers jobs but also provides opportunities for rural students to gain knowledge and explore the fast-paced world. For his achievement in education and welfare of the society, the industrial genius has been recognized by Government of India and was conferred with Padma Bhusan in 2007.


The Chairman

The current Chairman Thiru. M .Manickam M.Sc, MBA., heirs Arutchelvar.Dr. N. Mahalingam. Out of his graduation from the University of Michigan has a better understanding of the world. His being a President of All India Sugar Manufacturers Association (1996-1997) and India Sugar Technologists Association (2000-2002) has made him understand the world looks from an educational institution. NIA Institution addressed to the issues of the local society has begun to address global issues.

The current chairman makes sure that experienced technocrats are made by the institution. It is his effort to feed experience to students that a program "Earn while you learn" was launched. Moving one step ahead of his predecessor he has made global institutions to get involved with NIA Educational Institutions. Tie ups with lot many global institutions are strong evidence for his effort to make this institution a world class one.

The Correspondent

The correspondent Thiru. Shankar Vanavarayar an MBA graduate from UK guides the youths to selfless service to the society by setting himself as an example. He is the fourth generation in the Sakthi Saga and in the footsteps of his elders on imparting knowledge to rural Indian students. He works for the institutions with energy and interest taking the vision of his elders as his mission.
 
Shankar Vanavarayar has his Bachelors in the Commerce and Masters in Business Administration from the Cardiff University. He is today the Chief Executive of Sri Sakthi Textiles

He is a member in carving a niche in the field of educational institutions that make him to be a pathfinder and role model to the young. To name out a few memberships of his:

  • Siruthuli
  • Executive Committee-Crafts Counsel of India.
  • A Co-Convener of the Indian national trust for art and cultural heritage, Thanjur.

His memberships prove the respect he has for human values. He is man in his best who upgrades himself on humanity and social welfare. The gained knowledge imparted to the youths by his innovative methodologies.

The Correspondent through his young age and modern exposure acts as a bridge between the past vision and the mission needed for today and his constant endeavor is to take forward the founder's vision

The Secretary

The Secretary Prof. C. Ramasamy, is a symbol of sincerity and hard work. His sincerity is an inspiration and example to the students of the institution that explains the result of being loyal and working hard. He started his career as a Junior Instructor; his interest to update himself on knowledge helped him to climb the hierarchy of the management. His rich expertise and 42 years of experience in educational administration have enabled the college to attain unique status in the international level.
